Your role as the next Bigfish Motion Graphics Designer:

You know that bit about a picture being worth a thousand words? We’re looking for someone who is worth several hundred million words. A story-teller who can say a mouthful and then some in a video. Animated, live action, explainer video, social graphics, or even a banner ad, the challenge is always the same: Manifest innovation to rid the world of awful videos. Does that describe you and your skillset with motion graphics and animation work? innovative and never willing to settle? Yes? Then keep reading.

We’re looking for a motion graphics designer with serious creative skills and a solid understanding of all things moving. The majority of our motion graphics work range between animated social content, banner ads, visual explainer videos, and some web/TV commercial advertisements.

This person will wear multiple hats, because around here, that’s what we do. Bigfish offers a positive, collaborative, fast-paced environment. Never a dull moment, lots of sarcasm. A dog or two. Really smart. The people, not the dogs. They’re just average. Interested? Here’s more:

You Are:

  • Curious and always learning
  • Motivated and ambitious
  • Always up to date on current design and cultural trends
  • Able to take direction and move forward with your own initiative as well
  • Able to take criticism constructively
  • Organized and able to manage your own time
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to multi-task

You Have:

  • Rock-solid After Effects and Premiere skills, not to mention Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Understanding of expressions and various After Effects plugins a plus
  • Working knowledge of cinematography and music/sound effects
  • Knowledge of Google Web Designer
  • Ability to storyboard concepts
  • A good understanding of other graphic design areas
  • The ability to think conceptually
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • An impeccable attention to detail


  • This is a full-time position


  • Strong background in motion graphics and animation
  • Motion Graphics degree is a plus, but not required
  • 3+ years real-world experience ideal but not required if you glamour us
